Gulf Equipment Corp was established in 1984 by our President, Mr. L.W. Ramsay, Jr. In the beginning, GEC’s primary business was the construction of wireless telecommunications towers. Originally, GEC started providing civil services as a contractor performing clearing, road construction, site preparation, and foundation installation. As the cellular industry evolved, so did Gulf, adding the necessary services that allowed us to become a turn-key tower contractor. Because we’re a pioneer in this industry, GEC has been involved in most of the major build outs that have taken place in our service area.

Along with our telecommunications interests, GEC has expanded our civil infrastructure interests as well. With the addition of key personnel in 2001, we have established a viable presence on the Gulf Coast as an infrastructure contractor. Our civil projects include private subdivision development. public highways and utility construction, site development and land clearing.

We are properly insured, licensed and bonded to work throughout the Southeast. Our qualified personnel and in-house equipment fleet enable us to respond to our customers’ needs in a timely manner. Not only do we employ the most qualified people in their respective fields, but our company’s ownership remains actively engaged and deeply involved in the daily operations.
